Lip Sync Ireland set for one Of Kildare’s oldest clubs

Preperations are being fine-tuned for Kilcock Gaa Clubs’ biggest night of the year.

It’s the Lip Sync Battles Ireland Kilcock style. It takes place in the club on Saturday, September 30th.

It’s a huge fund-raising event. The launch took place in the club house the same night Rory’s Stories put on a magnificent show.

Kilcock Gaa have been at the heart of the community since as far back as 1887. They were one of the first clubs to affiliate under Gaa rules in Kildare along with Clane, Carbury and Monasterevan, just two and a half years after the association was founded in Thurles.

They have top class facilities at their Branganstown home, including their splendid clubhouse with its fabulous sports hall. The pitches at their HQ are rarely silent.

The club are putting in the work in football, hurling and camogie and are marching towards the future with confidence. The Lip Sync spectacular will help to keep the home fires burning.

Make sure to get your tickets soon before the ‘Sold Out’ signs are put up!!!

Mulligan Takes The Reigns At Celbridge

John Mulligan has become the new manager of Celbridge Ladies adult football team for the 2017 season.

Cappagh man Mulligan, whose previous managerial posts include stints in charge of Kilcock Ladies and his home club Cappagh (where he also coached the ladies), will take up his new role from this week.

Celbridge will be looking to push on under the guidance of their new manager after enjoying a fairly successful 2016. The girls in blue and white enjoyed League glory and were beaten finalists in the Junior B Championship.

Speaking to an excited Mulligan, he said; “This is a great opportunity to build on the momentum from last year and I hope to continue with the development of Ladies Football in Celbridge. I met with the club executive last Monday and they are aiming high and have a very professional approach so I am delighted to be a part of it.”
