Brilly enjoying life on the Farm

Kilcock man Aaron Brilly continued his fine start to the season with his new club Home Farm FC by netting the 3rd goal in their excellent 4- 1 vicotry away to Drumcondra/Stella Maris in the 1st round of the Charlie Cahill Cup in the LSL on Friday night.

Brilly’s goal was a cracker and capped a fantastic individual and team performance against one of the Leinster Senior Leagues top teams.

Home Farm have enjoyed a fine start to the season and only a few weeks ago they caused something of a shock by knocking the LSL champions St Mochtas out of the FAI intermediate All Ireland cup, also on a 4-1 scoreline.

Brilly was a nominee for Extra Time Sport sports person of the year in 2016.

The prolific striker tapped home his first from close range on the 59th minute after some good build up play from Patrick McEleney and new signing Carlton to make it 2-0. Carlton’s 37th minute strike had put the 2015 LSC winners 1-0 ahead going in at half time.

Kilduff grabbed his second and Dundalk’s 3rd on 70 minutes after calmly slotting past the goalie.

McEleney added a 4th late on to secure a fairly routine win for Stephen Kenny’s side despite conceding twice to the LSL team.
